LR4 is a new item. If you buy the suite you will get LR4 when they add it which will be quite soon. You get to use two machines with the suite. So you can use this on a desktop anad a laptop and any of the aps on your Ipad or droid. What is really cool is that you can use one subscription on a Mac and the other on a PC if you want to. In the past you bought software for each platform.

This looks really exciting. If I am only using Photoshop CS5 and Lightroom 4, would it make sense for me to wait for the next major upgrade of Photoshop and for Lightroom to be added?

What if I am using both a desktop and a laptop? Would both be covered under the same Cloud subscription?

V/R,
Bob Olsson

The pricing is really exciting... I'm glad you did all the financial analysis, 'cuz I kept thinking "there has to be a catch..." I know the old Adobe "subscriptions" were not very cost effective, but now you get the whole Suite for the price of one subscription to a single piece of software!

Also very excited for the improvements in Premiere Pro CS6... Love that they added Mercury Playback Engine hardware support for the Macbook Pro's graphics cards.

Cutting with CS5.5, it's still not as fast, responsive or stable as good old FCP7... But I have faith in good things to come. :-)

Thanks again Bob for another dynamic and informative bit of information from the field. I was waiting for a gap in the work flow to upgrade. But, that gap is never going to see the the light of day. I am upgrading NOW!

Thanks

Jeff good to hear form you and glad to have your input. As an ol' time marketer there is adage that applies here which is, "There is an ass for every saddle." The trick is you need to find enough people to ride with you once they mount. I visited your fall foliage site and other galleries and I see several issues. One, is that while these are well crafted images (and so are your others) you are delivering a product that is in the main wheel house of your competitors. There are a ton of fall foliage purchase and capture opportunities. Your point of view needs a deeper thematic and stronger point of view. Within all of your galleries I can see what you feel but in some of your images there is a significant connection to your emotional range while in others, we have well crafted Kodak moments and so do many other photographers.

First step deliver on the emotive range as well as the great color. I can see that you have that ability and it does come through in a number of images from various galleries. People do not follow photographs, they follow photographers who are delivering what they feel but cannot see.

Second, you are in a tourist destination and a great opportunity to market finished decor art in frames. If I was living there I would have a small gallery with framed art and brutally edit what you sell (your web site offers too much at this point) and then tie that gallery back to your site. One of the best examples is David Brookover in Jackson Hole, WY. See http://www.brookovergallery.com/. In my view you can achieve this level of work.

So, in summary you are dong many things right with your blog and outreach. You need to accept the seasonally and sell more during season then out, and I think the rest is a matter for editing and capture refinement. Compare your great work to other works of similar fall foliage and then step back and consider how you may take me, the viewer to a deeper appreciation of this wonderful area of the country.

Do I believe you can do it? Absolutely and that is why I'm replying. Stay in touch via e-mail and I will give you a hand if I can.

Stay with it....
